So are we still using oc48 these days? | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Nampook |
and most were connected to it | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Nampook |
but ya, at the begining those teams had the advantage, had a nice host server | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Sumopowered |
oc 48 was like main trunk line between countries | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Sumopowered |
yeah | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Filia |
Better than the telephone connection from what I assume | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:31 | Nampook |
an oc48 would service a whole city to be honest | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:30 | Sumopowered |
it was basically faster than any consumer computer could use | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:30 | Filia |
I see | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:30 | Nampook |
that speed sounds slow now in numbers, but keep in mind that was actual data throughput, not what your internet prov | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:23:28 | Filia |
wide and long connection at the sacrifice for noises | redgiant |
| 2026-09-15 03:16:16 | Filia |

| 2026-09-15 03:14:41 | Nampook |
